Randy gives the audience history and real life experiences that each staff member, family member or visitor can truly relate.

Randy’s training is the best I have seen in a very long time.  My nurse aides walked away with a better insight and tangible ideas for their everyday experiences with our residents.  Randy is second to none and gives her all on helping others understand dementia and culture change in long-term care facilities.

Randy Griffin is a “pearl in the sea” of information about how to best care for those afflicted with memory loss.

Three years ago I had the good sense to enroll in a training offered by PESI called
“Dealing with Difficult Behaviors in Dementia Care”. I was joined by two of my nurses and the director of my memory care unit. The instructor was Randy Griffin. R.N., M.S. who was the perfect combination of expertise, humor, patience and experience. We covered so much more than I would ever have expected, and so thoroughly. The training was far superior to previous trainings my staff and I have completed and I couldn’t wait to bring Randy into our assisted living community to train our entire memory care team. She is such an excellent and unique instructor. It was no surprise to see the time and effort she took to customize this training session to meet the needs of our staff and residents. The results were remarkable! In addition, we asked Randy to help us begin our journey with the Audubon Society in a training designed to demonstrate how to implement the Bird Tales Program and we look forward to having her back this year to certify our staff in Therapeutic Touch.

Randy Griffin is a “pearl in the sea” of information about how to best care for those afflicted with memory loss. She offers solid examples, ideas and suggestions to draw from making the whole learning experience invaluable.

Randy Griffin and her work in the area of dementia care has moved our community to a new level.

Randy provided two rich days of education to all of our staff and 1:1 guidance to nursing and activities. She provided us with a renewal in looking at other approaches to care and getting the entire team on board. As a result we have developed new programs and find our interdisciplinary team working in unison to provide a personal approach to each resident and their individual needs. Thank-you Randy!

Randy’s person-centered approach honors the individual with dementia.

OHEL Bais Ezra had the honor of working with Randy Griffin to redesign our training curriculum for direct care staff working with an aging population with disabilities.  Randy’s person-centered approach honors the individual with dementia, and gives caregivers the tools needed to provide compassionate and dignified care that takes into account past, present & future.
Her gentle and warm nature in working with all levels of staff, coupled with her keen insight, sensitivity and passion in re-inventing the culture of dementia care, proved invaluable to our agency.

Randy Griffin is passionate about enhancing the lives of people living with dementia.

She has provided invaluable training to my staff in the areas of challenging behaviors, validation therapy and Bird Tales – connecting with nature through bird watching. Randy brings years of hands on experience, knowledge and insight into dementia care that translates into real life practical help for our staff.  Her training techniques are fresh and my staff still talks about them!  We have recruited Randy’s help with onsite training for the last two years, and again this year we are looking forward to her training on Therapeutic Touch.  Our memory support program has grown in wonderful ways due to the beautiful perspective that Randy brings to ensure that our residents live a meaningful and enjoyable life of purpose.
